Writer, editor, lecturer, old stone nerd.

Christina Cowart-Smith is a Stanford and Durham-trained writer, editor, lecturer, and old stone nerd based in London, UK.

She genuinely enjoys helping people find and craft their written voice—whether that be on the pages of a memoir or a non-fiction book, an academic article or a university admissions essay.

Over the past decade, Christina has ghostwritten non-profit newsletters and executive director statements, created content for university webpages and social media, and edited numerous academic and general audience-aimed articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. She’s helped her freelance clients prepare their manuscripts for OUP, UCP, Bloomsbury, and Oxbow, among other publishing houses.

Christina is particularly adept at bringing specialist knowledge to a wider audience, whether that be through public talks, social media, or leading British Museum Spotlight Tours (Rosetta Stone; Parthenon), Eye-opener Tours (Medieval Europe), and soon Out-of-hours Tours (Life & Death in Ancient Egypt).

From a subject-specific perspective, she’s a committed advocate of public-facing archaeology and regularly shares archaeological material via her (new!) Instagram account: @sculpturesmith.

Let Christina assist with your next project!
